About

A practice for two towns, in two languages

Barley began with Misook Jeon's wish to practice Korean-style acupuncture close to where Korean families in Bergen County already live and work.

Wonsik Shim joined to see patients on weekdays and Saturdays, and Farida Alam to open the Little Ferry office. Visits are in English or Korean, appointments run early and late for people who commute, and the waiting rooms keep a pot of barley tea.
