What people come in for
These are reasons people book, not conditions we treat. Your acupuncturist listens first and tells you what to expect.
Neck and shoulder tension
Hours at a desk, in a car or on a bus into the city can leave the upper back tight.
Low back aches
A common reason for a first visit, often after lifting, sitting or a long drive.
Headaches
Some people come when headaches keep returning, alongside what their doctor has advised.
Sleep and stress
A busy week can leave you tired and wired. Acupuncture is one quiet hour in it.
Digestive discomfort
Bloating, an unsettled stomach or irregular meals. Your acupuncturist asks how you eat.
Knee, hip and ankle aches
Stiff joints after standing or walking all day, or after a long run.
What acupuncture does not do
Acupuncture does not replace your doctor's care. We do not name diseases, prescribe medicine or ask you to stop yours, and we do not promise a result.
When to see a doctor first
See your doctor or an urgent care center first for chest pain, trouble breathing, sudden weakness or numbness, a sudden severe headache, or a fever with a stiff neck. In an emergency, call 911.
